In 2008, Mazda took second place with the 2, which gives the brand this only place in the Top 50. However, the title Car of the Year has never been awarded to the brand with the winged M. Looking back, perhaps unjustified, because the brand was sometimes quite ahead of its time, both in terms of design and technology.
